Over the last twelve years I have photographed for several non profits. One of my favorites is The Collective Sound music camp for kids. The students at The Collective Sound spend time collaborating with their fellow musicians writing songs, recording in a studio and touring on a concert series the final week of camp. The instructors at The Collective Sound are all experienced musicians representing various musical disciplines. There are classes on song writing, performance and recording.
I think my favorite aspect of the camp is seeing the amount of confidence the kids display on stage after being immersed in the TCS music program for three weeks. They are more than comfortable on stage, they are having fun, and it shows in the music. Here are a few of the photos I have taken at various TCS camps through the years.
